Marshall Usinger is a Denver-based artist and composer best known for his ambient project Be Still the Earth, active since 2016. His work blends slowed-down piano loops, warm synth textures, and subtle organic layers—creating immersive soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive.
Alongside his solo work, Marshall is the co-founder and label director of slow echo, a record label focused on ambient and meditative music.
His compositions have been featured in thousands of media projects across film, television, and digital platforms. Marshall’s music has been licensed by brands including NBC, Fox, MTV, A&E, Discovery, and CBS, among others.
Whether composing for personal expression or visual storytelling, Marshall continues to explore the quiet tension between emotion and atmosphere.
