ABOUT
Marshall Usinger is a Denver-based composer, producer, and sound artist whose work spans ambient, cinematic, electronic, and contemporary instrumental music.
He is best known for his long-running ambient project Be Still the Earth, while sloer explores a more nature inspired side of his work through field recordings, acoustic instrumentation, and sounds drawn from the natural world. Marshall is also the co-founder and label director of slow echo, an independent label focused on ambient and meditative music.
His music has been featured in thousands of projects across film, television, advertising, and digital media, with placements across NBC, FOX, CBS, MTV, A&E, Discovery, and other major networks and platforms.
Across his work, Marshall has a deep appreciation for humanmade music and the character of real instruments, imperfect performances, and sounds that still feel touched by the person who made them. Whether creating a record or composing for picture, his work is rooted in atmosphere, emotion, and the small details that make music feel alive.
